Fall Season is about to begin...

August 11, 2017

We are so excited for the fall season to begin!! Choreography, new lesson plans, line routines, competition routines, and more are in the works! This time of year is my favorite. The high of excitement, the good kind of stress-that requires so many things to be done in such "little" time (so it feels)  - - but above all, it's the pure rush of excitement to see all of your student's smiling faces August 21st!!! Oooooo I just cannot wait to see them and show them everything I have in store for the year!!!!

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Let me tell you, this feeling, it is not the bad anxious - - it's the kind I thank God for! The one that keeps you motivated, excited, and looking forward to the future He has plans for. He gives me peace, always reminding me this is what He has made me for. He created me to do EXACTLY what I am doing every single day. I have learned NOT to plan what happens in 6 months, a year, 3 years....God's plans are higher than my own....Jeremiah 29:11 (life verse)

At the same time, that is all this past few weeks has consisted of....PLANNING. Planning the whole dance year out. When classes start, how classes will be taught, what routines need to be choreographed, when recital is, when should we have pictures, when and where are our line routine performances should/could be, which competitions we should attend, planning staff meetings, planning work schedules to train new staff members,  and much much more. Planning, planning, and more planning! That is all August has been for me as a dance teacher...PLANNING.  But, it sure does feel good to have majority of the calendar figured out for this coming dance year, lesson plans figured out to ensure our dancer's success, and choreography that is down on paper and in progress to be completed!

Which leads me to such a HUGE excitement for the classes to BEGIN August 21st!! I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!! I cannot wait to show these student's what we have in store this dance season. Bring on our FOURTH year and to GOD BE THE GLORY!! I am so thankful for what He has done, is doing, and will do through this studio. <3
