We are constantly being told that things happen for a reason. Sometimes we get stuck in our lives having a hard time seeing the bigger plan that is in store for us. We sit their day after day questioning if we are really doing what we are supposed to. One year ago I was in that place. I was working three jobs and teaching dance but not to the full amount I had been hoping for. I was asking God is this really the place I am suppose to be. Then one day I got a Facebook message from a lady that actually I had learned some dance stuff from her from taking kids camps from the Crimson Girls. She was a dancer that I followed as she went through life and looked up to her and her dance abilities. We had talked a few times just about random things like shoes and choreography but then she messaged me and asked if I wanted to meet with her and chat about a couple dance ideas she had. So I did and little did I know it was a job interview. At first I did not know what to think then I realized God was sending me a sign. She offered me a job and after thinking about it all, I took it.
I started teaching a couple studio classes, helped assist with other classes and worked the desk.Went through my first recital with Danceography and taught summer classes. Then Laura and I talked about me teaching more classes and helping with the competition team. I, with no hesitation, said yes. Here I am a year later and I could not be more happy! This year I have started taking on new roles at the studio. Not only am I teaching studio dancers and competition dancers but I have started taking on some of the responsibilities on the business side of the studio. Working with payments, invoices, social media, desk work, and interacting with parents. I am beyond excited to get to use by business degree and still get to teach dance. I can't wait to see what else this amazing studio has in store for me. I thank God everyday because now I am finally doing the job I love full time. Yes, I do believe that things happen for a reason and God has shown me that this is where I belong. I have finally found a job that I can call home.
